Srinagar, July 1 (UNI) A local court reserved for July 14 the final orders on the bail applications of former Jammu and Kashmir Minister and sitting legislator Ghulam Ahmed Mir and senior IAS officer Mohammad Iqbal Khanday, arrested by the CBI in connection with the sex racket case.

The bail pleas of other accused will also come up for hearing on that day.

Passing the orders, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Srinagar Mohammad Yousuf Akhoon said the court would also peruse the case diaries (about four), produced by the CBI today, during this period.

He also asked the son of another former Minister and sitting legislator Raman Mattoo to engage or propose the name of a lawyer till then for pleading his father's case.

Earlier, the CBI counsel submitted to the court the objections to the bail applications of the sex racket accused and referred to several earlier judgements in support of his arguement. He requested the judge to reject the bail applications of all the accused in the sex scandal.

Khanday' son, Sajid Khanday, pleaded the case on behalf of his father. He referred to an earlier judgement in which an accused was granted bail on health grounds.

He said his father was diabetic and submitted to the court the medical prescriptions and reports in support of his arguement.
