Death toll in UP rises to 38
New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) The death toll due to rain related incidents in Uttar Pradesh reached 38 today following three more deaths in Moradabad and Ferozabad districts while 80 villages in Bihar have submerged as monsoon has been active in most parts of the country.
Monsoon lashed several areas in Himachal Pradesh since last night, plummeting the temperature and triggering fresh landslides in mid hills.
Tourist resorts of Wildflower Hall, Kufri, Naldehra and Narkanda in Shimla district and the key tourist place of Manali in Kullu district also experienced rain.
Torrential rains disrupted life in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh during the last 24 hours, triggering landslides and washing away fertile land at several places in the district.
The southwest monsoon has futher advanced into east Rajasthan and some more parts of west Rajasthan.
