Cool weather in Delhi continues, mercury drops to 31

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) The cool weather continued here today with thick monsoon clouds resulting in a further drop in mercury to 31 degrees Celsius.

The minimun temperature recorded was 26 degrees, two degrees more than yesterday.

The weather office has predicted a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rains and thundershowers during the next 24 hours.

Also, an upper air cyclonic storm lying over Haryana and its neighbouring areas was likely to result in heavy showers in some areas of the national capital.

Meanwhile, southwest monsoon further advanced into most parts of east Rajasthan.

''The northern limit of monsoon as of today passes through 24 degree N/64 degree E, 24 degree N/68 degree E, Udaipur, Ajmer, Churu and Ganganagar in Rajasthan,'' the weather office added.
