CM convenes cabinet meet

Mumbai, July 11 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has convened an emergency cabinet meeting at 2200 hrs at Mantralaya to review the situation after the seven blasts had left 137 dead and about 300 injured.

According to sources in the Chief Minister's office, Mr Deshmukh personally visited Sion Hospital, where many injured people have been admitted.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad are arriving in the city by late tonight, according to Chief Secretary Dr D K Sankaran.

He also said that 200 additional beds have been made available in different city hospitals.
