Associate of druglord Sharafat Sheikh, woman arrested with heroin

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) In a major catch Police have arrested two persons, including a close aide of druglord Sharafat Sheikh and a woman, and seized 525 grams of heroin worth Rs 52 lakh.

Hasibul alias Bhura (19) was arrested today from Uttam Nagar bus terminal with 265 grams of heroin following interrogation of Rattan Singh, an associate of Sharafat Sheikh, according to the police.

Rattan Singh was arrested on July 4 with 300 grams of heroin, who told the police that he had migrated to Ghaziabad six years ago and started working at a hotel in Nizammuddin area where he came in contact with Sharafat Sheikh.

In the second case, a woman Kaushalya alias Talla (50) was arrested with 260 grams of heroin from Trilokpuri area in East Delhi.

She had been arrested under the NDPS Act 14 times earlier.

Her daughter and daughter-in-law are also involved in drug trafficking, police added.
