Another Swadhyay member arrested in NRI murder case
Ahmedabad, July 11 (UNI) Another Swadhyay member, Bharat Bhatt was today arrested by the city police in connection with the US-based NRI Pankaj Trivedi murder case.
He is the seventh person to be arrested in the case.
Bhatt's name had cropped up during interrogation of the former stenographer at the city Commissioner's office Ghanshyam Chudasama, and five others arrested earlier, Additional Commissioner P K Jha told UNI.
While five of the accused Mansinh Vadher from Junagadh, Chandrasinh Jadeja from Rajkot, Bhupatsinh Jadeja from Jamnagar, and Hitesh Chudasama, a caterer, and Dakshesh Shah both from Ahmedabad were arrested on July 4, police stenographer Ghanshyam was nabbed on Sunday.
The US-based NRI, who had come to the city, was clubbed to death outside a private club here on June 15.
It is believed that Trivedi had irked some Swadhyay members for pointing out some financial irregularities and misappropriation of NRI funds recieved by the organisation for rehabilitation of the earthquake victims.
