Alert sounded in Bengal districts following Mumbai blasts
Kolkata, July 11 (UNI) A general alert was sounded across West Bengal in the wake of serial bomb blasts in Mumbai.
According to official sources, all the police stations in the state, including those in the capital, had been put under general alert and asked to remain vigilant.
Meanwhile, security in and around all important government buildings, including the state Secretariat Writers Buildings, Howrah and Sealdah stations, Dum Dum airport and Kolkata Metro stations had been beefed up as a preventive measure, the sources added but refused to elaborate further.
