Kolkata, Jul 11 (UNI) The All India Minority Forum(AIMF) condemned today's dastardly grenade attack on tourists in Srinagar and demanded a compensation of Rs two million for each of the deceased.

At least seven people, including six tourists from West Bengal, were killed and 42 others injured in serial grenade attacks on their vehicles in different parts of Srinagar.

Expressing concern at such attacks allegedly by some terrorist outfits, AIMF president Idris Ali in a statement here said though no insurgent group had so far claimed responsibility for such attack, from the modus operandi it was clearly evident that these attacks were the handiwork of some extremist groups, which were opposed to peace and tranquility in the valley.

Reiterating the AIMF's demand for huge compensation to the next of kin of the deceased and to the injured, Ali in separate letters to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Gulam Nabi Azad also apprehended that involvement of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI should not be ruled out and demanded stern action against the real culprits.
