A big loss in Chavan's death- Pawar

Mumbai, Jul 11 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) President Sharad Pawar described the death of Vasant Chavan as a ''big loss, which was difficult to be filled''.

Earlier in the day, senior NCP leader and Rajya Sabha member Vasant Chavan(65) died of a severe heart attack at the majestic MLA guest house.

Expressing his condolence to the bereaved family, Mr Pawar said late Chavan began his political innings on a humble note from Pune Muncipal Corporation and graduated to other important responsibilities in the due course of time.

He pointed that the the departed leader's political career was devoted towards the upliftment of the poor.
