2.5 lakh people affected in Bengal flood

Berhampur, West Bengal, Jul 11 (UNI) About 2.5 lakh people have been affected in Murshidabad's Kandi, Bharatpur, Ghargram and Salar villages following incessant rain for the past two days.

Judicial Magistrate Subir Bhadra said 21 sluice gates of the Messanjore Dam have been opened.

He said all the district administrators have been alerted following rise in water level in the rivers.
