125 take ill after consuming goat meat

Shivpuri, MP, July 11 (UNI) About 125 persons took ill after consuming goat meat offered as 'prasad (food offering)' at 'Devsthan' at Thanra village in this district, police said today.

Members of Jatav community partook of goat meat offered as 'prasad' at the temple leading to swelling in hands, legs, eyes and throat yesterday.

The affected were taken to hospitals in Karaira and Jhansi for treatment. They were discharged after their condition improved.
