Zinedine Zidane sent off in World Cup final

BERLIN, July 9 (Reuters) France's Zinedine Zidane was sent off in extra time against Italy in the World Cup final tonight.

The playmaker, in his last international, was shown a straight red for headbutting Italy defender Marco Materazzi in the chest.
