Zindane likely to come to Kolkata

Kolkata, July 10 (UNI) The West Bengal Government is likely to invite soccer star Zinedine Zidane to demonstrate his football skill in the city, Sports Minister Subhash Chakraborty today said.

''We are making efforts to invite Zindane here to demonstrate his brand of skill,'' Mr Chakraborty told the Assembly in reply to the debate on budgetary grant for Transport Department.

The Minister said he had sent his congratulatory message for the sterling performance of the soccer star, who had won the Golden Ball title for having been adjudged the best player of the World Cup, 2006.
