UPA Govt must pass SC/ST Reservation bill: Kovind
Ahmedabad, July 10 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) SC/ST Morcha national president Ramnath Kovind today demanded that the Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government should immediately pass the SC/ST Reservation Act bill, which has been pending with it for a long time.
Talking to media persons here today, Mr Kovind said the UPA government had promised in its last election manifesto that it would make a Reservation Act for securing reservation of jobs and education for the SCs/STs in the private sector.
He also said the party would launch a nation-wide, week-long awareness programme between August 1-7 against the UPA government for its wrong policy of appeasing the Muslim minority and price hike.
