Tendulkars watch as Federer beat Nadal in Wimbledon
London, July 10 (UNI) Sachin Tendulkar proved his love for the racquet game goes far beyond the ''Tennis Elbow'' and the Little Champion graced the Royal Box as Roger Federer decimated Rafael Nadal in the Wimbledon final yesterday.
The batting maestro, who is recovering from a shoulder surgery and is here on a brief stint with Lashings club, was spotted in the Royal Box, the VIP enclosure, along with wife Anjali.
Sachin, John McEnroe fan since his childhood days, was perfectly decked for the occasion in blue suit and yellow tie, with his shades on, while white was the colour for Anjali, dovetailing with the Wimbledon tradition that requires players in predominant white.
Apart from the Tendulkars, Manolo Santana, the only Spanish men's player to win the singles title at Wimbledon in 1966, was among the interesting mix. Also seen was English rugby union flyhalf John Wilkinson, who kicked the winning drop goal in the World Cup final in 2003 and former champions Margaret Court and Neale Fraser.
