SW monsoon advances in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh
Pune, July 10 (UNI) The South West monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of East Rajasthan, remaining parts of West Madhya Pradesh, interior Haryana and Punjab and some parts of West Rajasthan.
The monsoon has been vigorous in Haryana and active in Bihar and Punjab.
In the regions where the South West monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably below normal in West Rajasthan and were below normal in some parts of East Rajasthan.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttaranchal.
Rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Orissa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat State, Madhya Maharashtra, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Vidarbha, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at many places in Jharkhand.
Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Bihar, Uttaranchal, and at many places in gangetic West Bengal.
Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Rains or thundershowers have occurred at most places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Karnataka and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Kerala and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Orissa, East Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat Region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Rajasthan and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
