Sixt launches operations in Bangalore

Bangalore July 10 (UNI) SIXT India (a Sona Group Company), a leading car rental, leasing and fleet management services provider, today launched its operations in the city.

Beginning with 50 cars, the company aimed at growing its fleet size by 80 per cent over the next three years of operation, a SIXT release here said.

SIXT, India had planned an investment of Rs 10 crore during the current fiscal towards infrastructure development and fleet size expansion in Bangalore.

SIXT, India would initially provide rent a car service only to its enterprise customers in Bangalore. As part of its growth strategy for the city, the company would add leasing and fleet management services to its product portfolio by November 2006.

It expected to earn 25 per cent of the total revenue from Bangalore operations this year.

Having launched only six months ago, SIXT India had already attained a reasonable customer base in Delhi. The company said it would grow at a rate of around 70 per cent.
