Scooterist dies after coming under bus

New Delhi, July 10 (UNI) A 26-year-old scooterist was crushed to death, and another injured, after his vehicle lost balance and got trapped under a DTC bus near Nizamuddin bridge in East Delhi this evening.

Sources said while Pawan died when his scooter lost balance and came under the bus running behind him soon after the tyre of a three-wheeler ahead of him burst and skidded. Pillion rider Uday escaped with some injuries.

He has been admitted to the L B S Hospital.

The accident took place opposite Akshardham Temple at about 1830 hrs.

The driver of the DTC bus, plying on route no 306 (Kalyanpuri to Hauz Khas), has been detained.
