Rupee weakens by 7 paise; closes at Rs 46.13/15/USD

Mumbai July 10 (UNI) Indian currency today weakened by seven paise to close at Rs 46.13/15/US Dollar as compared to the previous close of Rs 46.06/07/US Dollar, a trader in the money market said.

Earlier Rupee opened at Rs 45.95/07/US Dollar and in the mid-morning session traded at 46.06/07/US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was down at 1.10 per cent and the one year premia was also down at 1.19 per cent.

RBI fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.06/US Dollar today.

Rupee, however could not fare well against other currencies: Rupee vs euro was up at Rs 58.64 (58.70), rupee vs pound sterling was however, down at Rs 84.73 (84.50) and agaist yen it was down at Rs 40.38(40.04).
