RTI commisioners must work freely: MZP

Aizawl, July 10: The Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), the largest student's body in the state, has demanded freedom of the recently appointed Commissioners to implement the Right To Information (RTI) Act properly.

In a statement here today, the MZP said ''The RTI act should become a tool for transparenty. Our newly appointed commissioners must have courage. People expect them to discharge their duties without fear.'' The MZP also mentioned that people also have responsibility to help implement this act.

The students suggested that the government should keep itself away from the two commisioners and give them a free hand to work.
