Pakistani delegation to visit Iraq
Islamabad, July 10 (UNI) A Pakistani ministerial delegation headed by Minister for Religious Affairs Ijaz-ul-Haq would soon visit Iraq to discuss relations between the two countries.
''A ministerial level visit is on the cards and preparations are under way,'' Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tasneem Aslam told a press briefing here today.
She said Iraqi government would give the exact dates of the visit.
This will be a first official delegation from Pakistan to visit Iraq after installation of new government in the violence-plagued country.
The spokesperson said during the visit the two sides would discuss ways and means to further strengthen the bilateral ties.
The issue of Pakistanis working in Iraq would also come up for discussion as the Pakistan government would like to ensure their safety in Iraq.
Ms Aslam said many Pakistanis were keen to visit holy shrines in Iraq and this will also be discussed during the visit.
