No question of tribals leaving Aralam farm land: Mahasabha

Kannur, Kerala, July 10 (UNI) The Rashtriya Mahasabha, an organisation of tribals, today made it clear that there was no question of the tribals leaving the Aralam farm land they had occupied.

Mahasabha General Secretary M Geethanandan told a news conference here that the High Court had stayed eviction of the tribals from the land and had directed the government to submit a report on the tribals who had got title deeds and those who had not received them.

He said the Mahasabha would not cooperate with the decision of political parties to evict the tribals from the land or the committee to be formed to monitor the eviction.

Mr Geethanandan also described as contrary to facts the statement of SC/ST Welfare Minister A K Balan that a consensus had been reached on the eviction at the all-party conference held in his presence in Kannur on July seven last.
