MCOCA court adjourns bail hearing to Wednesday
Mumbai, July 10 (UNI) The Special MCOCA court today adjourned further hearing of the bail plea of Chhota Rajan's wife Sujata Nikhalje and his elder brother Prakash Nikhalje, arrested in connection with their involvement in an extortion case, to July 12.
Special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court judge Abhay Thipsay heard the taped conversation between Sujata and her husband in-camera during the day as sought by the defence counsel and then adjounred the further hearing to next Wednesday.
Sujata, who was arrested on December 14 last year along with Rajan's elder brother Prakash Nikhalje, had approached the MCOCA court for bail in this case.
All the six accused arrested in this case are in judicial custody including Rajan's wife, her brother-in-law Prakash Nikhalje and their three accomplices Suresh Shinde, Harvinder Singh alias Kookoo Daruwala, Rakesh Surve and her chartered accountant Bharat Dudhani.
The police alleged that Sujata had received half of the Rs ten lakh extortion amount from the complainant.
