Lap Top creates furore in K'taka Council

Bangalore, July 10 (UNI) An opposition Congress member created a furore in the Karnataka Legislative Council when he flashed a lap top to make a presentation to prove the bribery charge levelled by a BJP legislator against Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Forest Minister C Chennigappa.

In the post-lunch session, when the Congress members continued to press for an adjournment motion to discuss BJP member Janardhan Reddy's allegation that Mr Kumaraswamy and Mr Chennigappa had received a bribe of Rs 150 crore from the mining lobby in Bellary district, Officiating Chairman Sachindananda Khot allowed them to make a submission.

Soon after Leader of the Opposition H K Patil made a preliminary submission, Congress member Prakash Rathod waved a lap top and sought permission from the Chair to operate it and present the proof in support of the allegation. However, the Chair dispproved his plea.
