Landslides affect transportation in Manipur

Imphal, July 10 (UNI) Heavy landslides severely affected transportation and communication system, cutting off many areas in Manipur.

Kasom Khullen sub-division of Ukhrul district was cut off due to heavy landslides at various portions of Nunshithanbi and surrounding area.

MET officials recorded 27 mm rainfall over the last 24 hours.

However, the humidity remained high at around 97 per cent today.

The minimum temperature was around 27 degree Celsius while the maximum was 29 degree Celsius.

The traffic on National Highway continued to be affected due to the heavy downpour.
