Lalit Bhasin is President of International Indian Bar Association
New Delhi, July 10 (UNI) Leading Supreme Court lawyer Lalit Bhasin has been appointed President of the International Indian Bar Association for 2006-07, an IIBA statement said.
Bhasin -- who also is the General Secretary of the Bar Association of India and the Indian Law Foundation, besides being President of the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) -- would take over the post from Mr Navneet Chugh.
The IIBA represents six lakh lawyers of Indian origin around the world and acts as their networking forum besides providing a common voice to them, it added.
