Kerala HC posts pleas challenging Colleges Act to Wednesday

Kochi, Jul 10 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today adjourned the writ petition challenging the validity of the Kerala Professional College (Regularisation of Admission and Fees) Act 2006 for preliminary hearing to Wednesday.

The writ petition is filed by Lissie College of Nursing and another nursing college.

When the matter came up for admission before Justice S Siri Jagan, it was submitted that the engineering college managements association had also filed a similar petition. It was further suggested that both petitions be considered together.

Advocate General C P Sudhakaran Prasad also submitted that a detailed counter-affidavit has to be filed by the state in the writ petition.

The court said that it required a copy of the judgement rendered by the Supreme Court on the very same matter and adjourned the hearing to Wednesday.
