Kanchi seers in Sankara Mutt for 'Chaturmasya'
Kancheepuram, July 10: Kanchi Acharyas Jayendra Saraswati and Vijayendra Saraswati arrived here last evening for the 'Chaturmasya Vrat.' They were accorded a traditional welcome on their arrival in Kancheepuram. Later, the Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Amman Temple priests garlanded them with lotus flowers after which the acharyas proceeded to the mutt.
The junior and senior seers will be staying in the mutt for the next two months for the 'Chaturmasya Vrat.' The acharyas returned to the Sankara Mutt 18 months after they were arraigned in the sensational Sankararaman Murder Case.
The seers had been staying at the Kalavai Mutt, near here, after securing bail from the court.
