Juventus signs 2-year contract with Deschamps

MILAN, July 10 (Reuters) Italian champions Juventus have signed a 2-year contract with coach Didier Deschamps that will be valid until June 30, 2008, the football club said in a statement today.

Deschamps, a former France soccer captain, said last month Juventus had asked him to coach the side if they were relegated to the second-tier Serie B as a punishment in an ongoing match-fixing trial.

No decision has yet been made on any relegation.
