Japan to seek UN vote on NKorea sanctions
TOKYO, July 10: Japan will seek a United Nations Security Council vote today on a resolution to impose sanctions on North Korea over its missile programme, Kyodo news agency reported from New York, quoting UN sources.
Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Aso and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice agreed in a phone conversation that their two nations would work together to get votes in favour of the resolution, Kyodo added in a separate report.
