Israeli air strike wounds 5 in Gaza
GAZA, July 9 (Reuters) An Israeli aircraft fired a missile at a car in Gaza today blowing it up and wounding five people, witnesses and medics said.
The Israeli army said it had attacked a car of militants carrying explosives that later also detonated after the strike.
Witnesses said the targeted vehicle was a van that belonged to Hamas militants.
Medics said five people were hurt, at least one suffering from burns. All were in light to moderate condition.
Israel launched a Gaza offensive on June 28 after the abduction of a soldier in a cross border raid and to put a halt to rocket fire at Israel by Palestinian militants.
