Govt taking steps for 100 % results: Minister

Pondicherry, Jul 10 (UNI) The Pondicherry administration is taking all steps to achieve cent per cent results in government schools here, Education Minister M O H F Shajahan today said.

Distributing prizes to SSLC and Plus Two toppers at the Government Higher Secondary School at Kalapet here, the Minister said he held a meeting with the teachers to explore ways to improve pass percentage.

The government will soon hold another meeting with the headmasters , he added.

In a bid to make students computer literate, the administration proposed to provide one computer to a group of seven students for practical training.

Steps were being taken to provide training to students in subjects in which they were interested, from sixth standard onwards.

A tie up with a Delhi-based institution was being arranged for the purpose.

The administration was holding discussions with the VSNL for providing internet facility for virtual education.
