Global Hospital acquires technology to treat GIW disorders

Hyderabad, July 10 (UNI) Global Hospital Managing Director K Ravindranath today said the Andhra Pradesh-based global hospitals have acquired new tools and technologies to detect and treat disorders of the small bowel of the Gastro Intestinal Ward (GIW), Talking to UNI here, Dr Ravindranath said the 'Double Balloon Enteroscope' a product developed and manufactured by a Japanese company, has been installed in the hospital which will be useful for the diagnosis and treatment of small bowel disorders like abdominal pain, chronic diarrhoea, malabsorption and obscure bleeding caused by polyps, ulcers and tumers.

Stating that the double balloon enteroscopy system allow the examination and treatment of the entire small intestine, he said it has the ability to completely examine small bowel and treatment to the patient at the same time.

There was no need to operate upon the patient, who was suferring from intestine problem with the double balloon enteroscopy, he added.
