German Nees appointed Rwanda coach

KIGALI, July 10 (Reuters) German Michael Nees has been appointed coach of Rwanda, federation officials today said.

He replaces Swede Roger Palmgren, who was sacked last year after Rwanda failed to qualify for the 2006 African Nations Cup finals.

Rwanda play former champions Cameroon in their opening qualifier for the 2008 African Nations Cup finals in Kigali on September 2.
