Formr SP leader died of burn injuries

Lucknow, July 10 (UNI) Shahid Akhtar, former Samajwadi Party city President of Bareilly, died of burn injuries in a Bareilly hospital last night. He was 40.

He was admitted to Bareilly Mission hospital on saturday after he was found with serious burn injuries in his room in mysterious circumstanes.

Shahid was an influential leader and was active in politics for quite some time.

The reason behind his death was being probed, the police said.
