Fire kills one in Kerala

Pathanamthitta, Kerala July 10 (UNI) One person was killed in a fire which broke out in a shop here in the wee hours of today and the fire which spead gutted three more shops, police said.

People returning after seeing the World Cup Football Final on TV first noticed the fire and alerted the police.

Fire units from Pathanamthitta, Adoor and Ranni fought for three hours to bring the blaze under control.

Police found a partially charred body of a youth inside one of the shops.

The body was yet to be identified, police said and added that an attempt to rob the shop might have led to the fire incident.
