Eleven members of family fell ill after having tea at home
Basirhat, West Bengal, Jul 10 (UNI) Eleven members of a family including three women and as many children were taken ill after they consumed some poisonous substance in a remote West Bengal village this evening, police said.
They were admitted to Habra State General hospital and Charghat health centre where some of them were in critical condition,hospital sources said.
Police said Jahangir Molla's family memebrs of Bar Mirzapurkur under Swarupnagar police station in North 24 Parganas fell ill soon after they had evening tea at home. "They might have taken some poisonous substance like pesticide accidentally", according to a primary report said.
Local people said that they might pour some kind of pesticide instead of suger during making tea.
