Each district to have ladies, children park in J

Jammu, July 9 (UNI) In order to promote tourism in the state Jammu and Kashmir government has started to construct one ladies and one children Park in each district of the state.

Talking to reporters, the tourism secretary Nayeem Akhtar said here one Zanana Park and one Children's Park in each district of the state would be constructed by the state tourism department.

''We have geared up all its manpower and machinery to tape huge tourist potential across the state,'' Akhtar said yesterday.

He said he has directed the concerned officials for early completion of project reports in case of identified sites and expedite work on the projects which have been approved.

Akhtar said the important steps are being taken to promote tourism in the state by setting up 50 tourist villages 19 new tourism development authorities at Patnitop, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Poonch, Rajouri, Lakhanpal-Sarthal, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Kokernag, Soanmarg, Leh and Kargil.
