Devotee donates Rs 28 lakh to TTD for kitchen renovation

Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, Jul 10 (UNI) A Chennai-based devotee has donated Rs 28 lakh to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD), the administrator of the world famous Sri Venkateswara Temple here.

According to TTD sources here today, Mr Ashok made the donation for renovation of 'potu' (temple kitchen). The cheque was handed over to TTD Special Officer A V Dharma Reddy.

About four days back, another Chennai-based devotee offered 24 sophisticted gas stoves worth Rs 72 lakh to the 'Srivari Potu.' The stoves with modern burners will not only reduce heat in the kitchen but also save on gas besides helping make more laddus.
