Desecration is a Sena conspiracy: Rane

Mumbai,July 10 (UNI) Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane today described the desecration of late Meenatai Thackeray's statue as a conspicracy of the Shiv Sena itself and alleged that the street violence resorted to by the Sena had the backing of the police and section of the coalition government headed by Congress-NCP.

He refused to elaborate on his allegation.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Rane said the conspiracy was hatched under the leadership of Mr Uddhav Thackeray.

"Late Meenatai was admired even by Sena's political rivals. I don't think anybody from the rival parties would do this," he said.
