Chief ministerial candidate not yet decided: Dullo
Patiala July 10 (UNI) The Punjab Pradesh Congress chief Shamsher Singh Dullo today sought to indicate that Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh may not necessarily be the chief minister for a second term, if Congress were voted back to power.
Talking to newspersons here today, he said it was premature to announce any candidate for the post of Chief Ministership. He also refused to comment on whether Capt Amarinder Singh will be the obvious choice to continue as chief minister if the party won, saying it was ''difficult and impulsive to comment on it'' .
''Winnability'' of the candidate would be the sole criterion for the allotment of tickets for the coming Assembly elections in the State he said.
Mr Dullo ruled out any change in the president of Youth Congress of the state, saying Mr Rawinder was working ''well'' as the chief of unit.
Mr Dullo also said general secretary in charge of Punjab, Janaradan Diwedi will be in Chandigarh on July 15 and a massive campaign to disseminate the policies and programmes of the state government at block-level would commence from July, twenty.
He said the grievances of the masses during these camps would be referred to the concerned government departments for quick redressal.
