Building collapses in New York City

NEW YORK, July 10 (Reuters) A building collapsed in Manhattan this morning after what may have been an explosion, media and officials said.

''It appears to be an explosion, but it's not confirmed,'' a Fire Department spokeswoman said.

Local media reported it was a three- or four-floor apartment building with some doctor's offices on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
