BJP wants Coordination Committee to meet once in 15 days
Bangalore, July 10 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), coalition partner of Janata Dal (Secular) led Government in Karnataka, today decided to urge for convening of Coordination Committee Meeting at least once in 15 days, Deputy Chief Minister and BJP floor leader in the Assembly B S Yediyurappa said today.
Talking to newsmen he said that a decision to this effect was taken at BJP legislators meeting held here this evening.
The meeting assumed significance as the coalition government facing awkward situation in the ongoing Session following BJP legislator Janardhana Reddy alleging Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy of taking Rs 150 Crore bribe for allowing Mining in Bellary and Congress staging dharna during the Session demanding CBI inquiry into the allegations.
He said that the Coordination Committee should draw a ''Lakshman Rekha'' (guidelines) as how both the party legislators should behave and it should become binding and nobody should cross the principles adopted. No room should be allowed for creating any kind of problem and both the parties should hold full responsibility for smooth running of the government Stating that people want this government to continue, Mr Yediyurappa assured that the coalition government will not disappoint people and would complete its full term. '' People will not tolerate even if we commit a small mistake and it should be duty of both the parties to maintain faith of the public.'' Mr Yediyurappa said that the decision of the BJP legislators meeting will be discussed at the Coordination meeting to be held tonight and a decision will be taken accordingly.
