'Ashtadhatu' idols estimated at Rs 25 crore stolen
Bahraich, July 10 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants burgled an ancient Kali temple in Kotwali area here and decamped with five 'ashtadhatu' idols estimated at five crore Rupees in the international market.
Police today said the miscreants broke open the temple lock late last night to commit the heist.
The temple is located right behind the Dargah Sharif police station.
Meanwhile, BJP workers blocked the road to protest the incident.
Police and PAC jawans had been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward happening.
