Very heavy rains likely in Uttar Pradesh
Pune, July 9 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Uttar Pradesh. In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Haryana and were below normal in west Rajasthan. They were normal in Punjab.
Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Uttar Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Asssam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Orissa, Rajasthan, Gujarat, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, south interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar islands.
Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, coastal Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharahtra, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Orissa, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, east Madhya Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada and Andaman and Nicobar islands.
