SPMV staff call off agitation
Tirupati, July 9 (UNI) The agitations by non-teaching staff and students against Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalam (SPMV) ended here last evening after the Vice-Chancellor promised to look into their demands.
The staff charged the management with diversion of the SPMV's fixed deposits (FDs) for seeking loans from financial institutions.
Meanwhile, students accused the management of adopting a 'dictatorial' attitude towards them by restricting their freedom in the hostels and also leaving the campus during day time.
They also complained of overcrowding in hostel rooms and alleged hidden cameras were placed inside the campus to monitor their movements.
