Raj condemns violence by Sainiks

Pune, July 9 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray today condemned the incidents of violence following the desecration of the bust of Meenatai, wife of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, in Mumbai.

Talking to reporters here, Raj said, ''The act of desecration of the bust of Meenatai is condemnable, but even the Sena violence is condemnable. Meenatai was a symbol of non-violence, but the manner in which the Sainiks are protesting is condemnable.'' He said that the Sena would not receive the support of the MLAs for this kind of violence.

Raj Thackeray was visiting the city for the first time after forming the MNS in order to interact with the party workers.
