Rain to rule the roost in the city
Kolkata, July 9 (UNI) Light showers in Kolkata since this morning made the weather pleasant.
The weathermen said the situation will continue for the next few hours, however, he cautioned that heavy rains might follow at night.
The Met office has warned of thundershowers at many places in West Bengal, which is due to the low pressure over gangetic belt of the state.
The monsoon has also brought south westerly winds which will be responsible for the heavy downpour.
Maximum temperature in the city has gone down and it remained 33 degrees Celsius while the minimum at 26 degrees Celsius.
Even though the relative humidity was high at 97 per cent, it did not cause any discmfort due to the drizzle.
