Power supply to improve from tomorrow
New Delhi, July 9 (UNI) The Delhi government today said power situation in the Capital would improve when the city receives about 350 MW power from Naptha Jhakri and Dadri from tomorrow.
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit also instructed State Power Minister Haroon Yousuf to review availability of power in the Capital on a daily basis to overcome the shortage besides asking New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) and Discoms to provide round-the-clock control room service to consumers.
With the operationalisation of Naptha Jhakri, Delhi would be getting an additional 300 MW power from tomorrow, besides an assurance of 30 MW from NTPC plant in Dadri which would also become operational tomorrow.
Another 250-300 MW power would be available in the next 2-3 days from Gujarat, Rajasthan and Orissa with the completion of 'Tala' transmission lines, said Ms Dikshit after chairing a meeting at her residence today.
