Lehmann reprimanded for obscene gesture

London, July 9 (UNI) Yorkshire has reprimanded their Australian recruit Darren Lehmann for his obscene gesture to Lancashire fans during the Twenty20 Cup match at Old Trafford.

Lehmann was seen making the gesture to Lancashire fans after taking a catch to dismiss Paul Horton.

Later, an Yorkshire issued a statement which said, ''Darren apologises for his behaviour which was a spur of the moment reaction after being barracked during the game.

''The club have dealt with the matter internally and are confident it will not happen again,'' it said.

''Yorkshire have contacted Lancashire County Cricket Club and apologised to the Board, players and fans of the club for this incident which was a black mark on an otherwise enjoyable evening for all concerned,'' it added.
